Moong Dal Chilla

Ingredients:

  • 3/4th cup green gram/green moong
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 carrot peeled and grated
  • ½ capsicum diced
  • 2 green chillies chopped finely
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method:

  • Soak the whole moong dal in water for 6-8 hours. Drain thoroughly and grind to a coarse paste
  • Take the ground dal in a bowl and add grated carrots, capsicum, onion, ginger, green chilli, salt and mix well
  • Heat a pan with oil, take a ladle full of batter and spread into a thick small-medium circle.
  • Cook for 4-5 mins till it becomes crispy on both sides
  • Serve hot
