Masala Oats

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp jeera
  • 1 green chilly chopped finely
  • ½ onion chopped finely
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tomato chopped finely
  • 5 french beans chopped finely
  • 1/4th cup peas
  • 1 carrot chopped finely
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ¼ tspn turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water, adjust according to consistency
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped finely

Method:

  • Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds
  • Add onions and sauté them till translucent
  • Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli
  • Slowly add tomato and sauté till they become soft and mushy
  • Add carrots, French beans and peas
  • Saute them for 2 mins till cooked
  • Add chilli powder, garam masala and salt
  • Then add rolled oats
  • Saute for 2 mins and then add water
  • Mix gently and cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes
  • Transfer to serving bowl and garnish with coriander
